London Beauty Haul: Boots, Superdrug & TK Maxx

Sunday, August 30, 2015

Hello, beauties! How are you guys all doing? Summer has been a busy time for me and I needed to sit myself down and take the time to blog. And god, I missed it! Last week, I went to London with my parents for three days. We did a lot of visiting, walking, eating and I got some time to shop as well.

Ofcourse, you can't go to England without some shopping at Boots and Superdrug. I also discovered TK Maxx, a store where you can find fashion and beauty items for a very low price!

Let's start with the TK Maxx stuff. The beauty department was very messy, but I managed to find some stuff that I liked. I got a Bridal French manicure set of Essie nail polishes (On sale for £12,99). My mom likes sheer polishes a lot, but she wasn't interested in the base coat, white polish and top coat. So we decided that she will own the sheer polishes and I will adopt the three other polishes in the set. I also got a set of the Summer 2015 Collection (£12,99). I really liked the colors in this set! I got my very first Butter London nail varnish in 'Cuppa' for only £3,99 in stead of £12! Another amazing find was the nails inc. nail polish in 'Victoria & Albert' (£3,99 in stead of £11). Lastly, I found a Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in 'Blue Ribbon', for only £2,99. This is a nice grey-blue color with some shimmer in it.

London has one of the biggest Primark stores I have ever seen in my life and my dad said, after some negotiation, I could be in there for 1 hour and a half. I got some clothing items and one pair of ankle boots. At the check-out, I saw these travel-size Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Shampoo and Conditioner and I got sucked in. I know, I'm weak! But I will be going on vacation to Turkey next week so a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner like this will be very handy to take with me in my suitcase.
At Topshop, I bought - don't be shocked - my very first cream blush. Yes, I'm a cream blush virgin. I really want to explore cream blushes, I've heard they look very natural on the cheeks. This color is called 'Head Over Heels'

At Boots, there was a special offer on N°7 make-up products. When you got 2 of their products, your got a special goodie box free with a £24 value of make-up. So I got sucked in again. I got the 80th Anniversary Nude Eye Shadow Palette, which is SO beautiful, I'm going to do a seperate blogpost about it. My mom got a brown eye liner from N°7 (which is not on the photo, but already in her make-up bag). The goodie box contained a Skin Illuminator, a mini Intense Volume mascara and a small eyeshadow in a dark purple color with glitter. I hope I will ever find a way to wear that color.
I've read a lot about the Seventeen Single eyeshadow color in 'Rose Quartz", so I picked that up as well. They were having a sale on Maybelline make-up (2 for £10) so I got the Rocket Mascara and a back-up of my Dream Lumi Touch Concealer.
I went on a hunt for the Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in 'Nude Perfection'. It was sold out everywhere! I went to 2 Superdrugs and 4 Boots stores. I finally found it at the Boots in Picadilly Circus. Lastly, I got the Natural Collection lipstick in 'Rose Bud'.

At superdrug, I got the Garnier Oil Beauty Nourishing Scrub. I already used this twice and I really like it! It smells amazing. After hearing so much about the CoLAB dry shampoos, I had to try one out. They were on sale, so I picked one up to try it out. Scent-wise, 'New York' was my favorite. It has a nice fruity summer scent.
I really like Nivea deodorants and especially like the Pearl&Beauty scent. They had these gigantic bottles at the check-out and I got sucked in...again.

I got the beautiful Sleek Blush by 3 Palette in 'Lemonade', which has three pink blushes in it. One cream blush and two powder blushes. The cream blush is gorgeous! I also got the Face Contour kit in 'Light'. I'm very curious to see how it performs. A Barry M nail polish is a staple in every British drugstore haul. I picked up one from the Sunset Daylight Curing line. 'Fuchsia Generation' was a color that instantly caught my eye. I've been waiting a long time to finally get the Max Factor Creme Puff blushes. We have them in Belgium, but they were slightly cheaper in England. These are supposed to be dupes for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes. I can't compare them, but I will say that this blush in 'Seductive Pink' is gorgeous on the cheeks. I tried it about three times now and I love it! The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer had been raved about so much now, I had to try it out. I'm quite curious to see how it performs. Lastly, I got one of the Bourjois Aqua Blushes in the color 'Pink Twice'. Very interesting product to try out, I think!

That was it for my London Beauty Haul. I also got a Jo Malone Perfume but I'm going to do a seperate blogpost about that. I hope you liked this post. If you want to see a review on a specific product, let me know ;)

Have a nice monday!

  1. You got some nice stuff. I especially like the Sleek products. I'm excited to hear how the Top Shop blush worked out. I also have only one or two cream blushes and those are very cheap. I should invest in some better formula :). Garnier scrub is amazing. Smells so nutty :)

    1. I'm also very excited to see how the cream blushes perform. The Bourjois Aqua Blush is very nice, it gives the cheeks a nice natural pink flush ^^

  2. How do you like the Essie nail polishes? I only have one but I love it!

    1. I personally love Essie nail polishes! I wore 'Peach Side Babe' on vacation and loved it! ;)

  3. Great buys, hopefully you'll like the Colab dry shampoo, it unfortunately didn't do anything for my hair :/ Would also like to hear your thoughts on the Topshop cream blush as I still don't own any of their makeup :)

    1. I hope the dry shampoo will perform fine! ;)
I will hopefully do a review on the Topshop cream blush soon! :D

Hey everybody! I love reading your comments so feel free to leave a reaction! ;) <3
