Time To Recycle: Empties #9

Thursday, August 6, 2015

The Empties-bag in my bathroom started looking a bit full again so I decided it was time for my favorite blogpost again! This time, a lot of mascara is included because I cleaned out my mascara box and decided it was time to toss a lot of them out. Other than that: face products, hand products, deodorants. I say we get started on recycling!

* Garnier Ultra Doux Secret of Honey Conditioner: This, in combination with the shampoo, is a match made in heaven. Soft, nice smelling hair. Good conditioner!
Would I repurchase? After finishing up other products, yes!

* Demak'up Expert Cotton Pads: Just a pack of cotton pads. These are my favorite ones, they have this 'design' it them that helps taking off makeup. I personally really notice a difference with other cotton pads. I just always get these ones.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I always do.

* Axe Anarchy For Her Deodorant: Axe is well-known for their men deodorants, but this is their first feminine scent. And I love it! The scent stays on quite long but is not too overpowering.
Would I repurchase? Yes

* Nivea Men Stress Protect 48h Deodorant: This may sound a little weird, but yes, I use men deodorant every now and then. Why wouldn't I? It smells good (I like how guys smell) and the scent sometimes stays a lot longer than women's deodorant! I occasionally buy a small one like this to keep in my handbag on hot days.
Would I repurchase? Yes

* Nivea Sensitive 3 in 1 Micellair Water: Another micellair water! I'm a big fan of those types of cleansers. This one did a good job at taking off makeup. Mascara is a tiny bit harder to take of, so a bit more patience at that department is needed.
Would I repurchase? Maybe

* Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet: I got this a sample at a Sephora points pack once and decided to use it when I couldn't find my other Caudalie cream. I like this one, but the other one I have (the matifying fluid) is better.
Would I repurchase? I'm not sure, maybe?

* The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream: Hands down (get it?) the BEST hand cream I've ever used. It smells divine, sinks into the skin very fast and leaves your hands feeling soft. The packaging is not the most practical one. When you push too hard, too much product comes out. Other than that: fantastic product!
Would I repurchase? I already have ;)

* LashEM 3 in 1 Eye Bright: I got this in a Deauty box a few months ago. First of all, there was almost no product in the sample, I had to squeeze the tube very hard. With the product that was inside, I was able to use it about 4 time or so. And it did absolutely NOTHING. A full sized tube of this is €35,99. In my opinion, a complete waste of money.
Would I repurchase? Never.

* The Body Shop Early-Harvested Raspberry Shower Gel: It's simple. If you like shower gel from The Body Shop and you like Raspberries, this is for you!
Would I repurchase? It is possible!

* Bourjois Mini Volume Glamour Ultra Black Mascara: A mini version of a Bourjois mascara. Not too special or memorable. I've had better mascaras than this one.
Would I repurchase? No.

* Rimmel 1 2 3 Looks Mascara: This mascara has one wand, but you can twist the bottle to allow more of less mascara to come on the wand for a more dramatic look. This one was easier to work with than the one I'll talk about later in this post. It was okay, but did not rock my world.
Would I repurchase? No.

* Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Supervolume Mascara: I got this a couple of years ago for free when I bought a magazine in London. I've used it once and since then, it has just been lying in my mascara box. I did not like the smell of the mascara at all and it was too lumpy for my taste.
Would I repurchase? Hell No.

* Arcancil Perfect Lash Mascara: This used to be one of my favorite mascaras in high school. It has a big wand and makes your lashes look very long. It also provides lots of volume. I actually kind of forgot I had this one and it's all dried up. I liked it a lot, but now I've discovered other mascaras.
Would I repurchase?  I don't think so.

* Rimmel Glam'eyes Day 2 Night Mascara: This mascara has one wand, but two ways to apply it. You can use the black part, which has less mascara on it and is more for 'lengthening'. Or the pink part, which has more product and gives a more dramatic effect. This mascara was often a bit of a pain in the but. Smudges, lumpy eyelashes. It was too much to deal with. Ain't nobody got time for that in the morning. I don't think Rimmel makes this mascara anymore.
Would I repurchase? No.

* Helena Rubenstein Lash Queen Feline Black Mascara: HR is the queen of mascaras and this might be her most famous one. Prepare for long, voluminous killer lashes that will make your eyes pop. Big thumbs up for this one.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Do I actually keep this one because the packaging is so pretty? Yes!

* Benefit They're Real Mascara: You guys know how much I like this one. It's a great mascara, that elongates the lashes and gives them volume. This one stands in my top 3 of best mascaras ever.
Would I repurchase? Yes! And I did!

What's the last product you used up?

  1. I just ended my They're Real Mascara as well, I love this mascara. Have you tried out there color versions of it yet?

    1. I haven't tried those yet but I've seen photos of them! I actually prefer my mascara to just be black, so I don't think I'll pick them up ^^ Thanks for your comment!

  2. I prefer black as well but badly want to try the blue I'll let you know how it goes!

    1. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about it ;)

  3. Great empties post, as always :) I still haven't tried the They're real mascara...I always want to, but then I'm just put off by the price of it :D

    1. Yes, it is indeed more on the expensive side but it truly is a great mascara! ;)
