Huge Kiko Haul: First Impressions & Swatches

After a month of exams, group assignments and classes, there is finally time to blog again! One of my resolutions this year was to blog regularly again but there was just no time. Until know: I have a week of vacation! Time to get back into the blog life! January was a very good month because... there were sales EVERYWHERE. So I went a little nuts here and there. I discovered that there was a Kiko store in Brussels (Since when? AND why wasn't this front page news here?) so I paid a little visit. I love browsing the sale sections and scored a few nice goodies. A lot of things were sold out already so I also paid the web shop a visit. Today, I can finally talk about everything. Here we go!

  • Rebel Bouncy Blush in 'Treasure Rose': This is a  'textured cream blush'. It feels very hard and ribbled but you can push and move around the product. I think this is made after the infamous Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes. It's fun! The color seems very dark in the pan but it swatches a lot lighter, and so: more wearable. It was on sale for €4,90 in stead of €9,90.
  • Skin Trainer CC Blur: An optical correcting primer that makes your skin looks flawless? Yes please! I saw this in the store for only €8,40 instead of €16,90 and was really contemplating getting it. I went home without it but ordered it later online because Kiko want you to order for at least 25€. I got the light-medium shade, because the darker one was sold out. I'm curious to see how this performs. I tried it out on my hand and it felt silicone-like. I don't dislike that feeling, so I won't mind.
  • Double Glam eyeliner in 'Sage Green/Anthracite': a golden light green shade and a dark grey-ish. It could be brown as well. Or dark taupe. Cant really make a decision about that color. In the store, they had a gorgeous light golden-brown and bronze color that I LOVED. But I decided to buy this one online because the one that I wanted was sold out. It's pretty, but I'm not blown away by it. Pigmentation could be a bit better, especially the lightest shade.
  • Lip Scrub/Kiss Balm Duo in 'Milk and Honey': This was one of the Christmas gift sets that they sold. I can't remember the price anymore but it was about -30%. It smells very heavily like honey. I like it. The scrub texture reminds me of the Lush lip scrubs.
  • Vivid Color Lipstick Pencil in '07 Vintage Rose': You'll see a lot of rose shades here today, this is the first of them! This gorgeous product was only €1,70! I went trought a big bucket of lipstick pencils and was so happy to find this color.

  • Luscious Cream Creamy Lipstick in '504 Raspberry': I ordered this one online for only €2! It's a creamy reddish pink color. Gorgeous! The packaging is so much fun to open up as well. You gotta push the lipstick bullet out of the case. Very fancy!
  • Smooth Temptation Lipstick in '06 Rosewood': I fell in love with this lip product in the store. It's a soft but pigmented lipstick that glides on like butter. It was sold out so I ordered it online. I liked it so much that I ordered two of them. I figured I might need a back-up for when it runs out. €2,30 instead of €7,90: you can't say no to that.
  • Velvet Mat Satin Lipstick in '612 Strawberry Pink': a pretty, standard matte pink lipstick. A color that every woman needs in her collection. This was the only product I got in store that wasn't on sale, but €6,90 for a good quality lipstick is a great price.

  • Perfect Star Gel Duo Nail Lacquer & Top Coat: Me and red nail polishes attract each other like magnets. I love them. This slightly shimmery version called 'Intuitive Red' just 'fell' in my shopping basket. I could not say no. It came with a gel top coat. I can't remember the exact price but I think it was about €5,40.
  • Travel Size Nail Polish Remover Pads: I need a small product to reach the €25 on the webshop. These travel remover pads for the nails are very handy and can just sit in your bag whenever you need it. Price: €2,90.
  • Gel Look Top Coat: You can't have too many top coats. Especially not when they are €3,50 and you loose top coats all the time.

Above, you can see the swatches of everything. Lip products - eye liner - blush. The lipsticks look a bit alike, but they were all different enough to justify buying! ;)

What is your favorite sale item you got this month?

Astrid
