Hello, beauties! How are you all doing?
Today, I want to talk about Bioderma Micellair Water. I got this last summer in Paris and at first, I did not like it that much. I didn't really understand what it was and thought you were supposed to use it AFTER removing make-up. So I never noticed what it did. But now, I use it to remove my make-up and I think it's one of the best make-up removers I ever tried.
For those who don't know what Micellair Water is: No, you can't drink this ;) Micellair water is a type of make-up remover that contains micelles. These are little clusters that attract dirt or oil (like make-up actually) and helps remove them very easily. It's actually pure chemistry, something I really don't know a lot about (So yes, I had to look it up myself and I really hope I explained it well).
It's a very soft, gentle cleanser and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling behind on your face.
To show you guys how well it removes make-up, I put some eyeliner, lipstick, mascara, blush and eyeshadow on my arm and removed it with the Bioderma Solution Micellaire. I had to work a bit harder to get the eyeliner and lipstick off, but it all came off very easily. As you can see, my arm was perfectly clean afterwards.
As you all know, every brand is now coming out with their own version of a micellair water. I have tried two of them (the Nivea one and Bioderma) and one Micellair Milk Make-up remover from A-Derma, that I got in a Deauty Box once. If you want to see a review on that one, let me know.
But I like Bioderma the most. I feel like the Nivea one doens't take off my mascara as well.
What's your favorite Micellair water? Or do you prefer a normal make-up remover?
xx,
Astrid

That's also my favorite. It's just so gentle. I use it every time to take off my eye makeup. It's the best and you use it so little, so it really lasts a long time:))

Indeed! I've had this bottle for a while now and it's not even half empty yet! :)

I've tried quite a few drugstore versions, but Bioderma is definitely the best one. I do have to say that I'm kinda over micellar waters and I now prefer cleansing balms and oils :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried a cleansing balm before, it sounds so interesting! :)
