Kiko + H&M Beauty Sale Haul

Monday, July 17, 2017

Hey everybody. Yes, it has been a very long time again. I've been just so extremely busy the last couple of weeks. So I'll make it up to you with a long haul post. Kiko was having their summer sale this month and I placed on order online. Everything arrived nice and safe, so I can finally show it all. I also picked up some things from H&M Beauty. Sit back, grab a snack and read! Little disclaimer: I'm not showing swatches in this blog because I will do separate reviews on the products.

Kiko Sale Haul: First Impressions & Swatches

Tuesday, January 17, 2017

When Kiko is having a sale, you need to go for it quickly because their stuff can sell out fast. I woke up at 8am to check the website the first day of the sales and a few hours later, a lot of their holiday collection items were already sold out. I'm so happy I was able to get my hands on these products. In this post, I'm showing you everything I got, show the swatches and share my first impressions. It'll be quite a long post so grab a snack, sit back and relax!

Beauty Haul: My Trip to Italy!

Sunday, July 3, 2016

Hey ladies! I recently got back from a trip to Italy with my boyfriend. We did a tour through Tuscany and visited Lucca, Firenze, Arezzo, Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. Italy is the land of Kiko, you can find them in every city! Also, you can find Sephora in most of the cities! I picked up a few things from Kiko, Sephora and a local supermarket.

Time to Recycle: Empties #12

Saturday, June 11, 2016

You know it's time to empty your 'Empties Bag' when you discover a spider in it. This has been way too long: It's time to recycle! I know I've absent for a LONG time now, but things at school have been crazy busy. I had to concentrate on my internship and after that, I had an exam. I finally have time to blog again and trust me, I have so many blogpost planned for you guys! Let's start with one of my favorites: the empties!

Huge Kiko Haul: First Impressions & Swatches

Friday, January 29, 2016

After a month of exams, group assignments and classes, there is finally time to blog again! One of my resolutions this year was to blog regularly again but there was just no time. Until know: I have a week of vacation! Time to get back into the blog life! January was a very good month because... there were sales EVERYWHERE. So I went a little nuts here and there. I discovered that there was a Kiko store in Brussels (Since when? AND why wasn't this front page news here?) so I paid a little visit. I love browsing the sale sections and scored a few nice goodies. A lot of things were sold out already so I also paid the web shop a visit. Today, I can finally talk about everything. Here we go!

Kiko Clics System: Review & Swatches!

Sunday, March 22, 2015

Happy Sunday everyone! How is your weekend going? Today, I wanted to talk about the Kiko Clics System. Just like the Inglot Freedom System and with MAC palettes, you can now buy seperate palettes at Kiko and fill them up with the colors you want! This way, you can make your own perfect palette. When I visited Kiko in February, everything from the Clics system was -50%. So I decided to put together a palette for myself!

I decided to pick up a palette for 4 eyeshadows. You can pick up a palette for 1, 3, 4 of 24 colors. The palettes are quite cheap, the one for 4 colors is 2,50€. The most expensive one for 24 colors is 6€. They have a wide variety of eyeshadows, bright as well as neutral colors. The eyeshadows are 2,40€ each. It wasn't easy to choose from all the colors, but I managed to find 4 lovely colors.

Kiko Top Pairs Duo Blushes in '02 Raspberry Rose & Peach' and '03 Rosewood & Azalea' Review

Saturday, February 14, 2015

Happy Valentine's day, sweeties! How are you guys spending the day? I'm going to watch 50 Shades of Grey later tonight! But for now, I want to talk about some amazing blushes from Kiko. I went to Lille last week and they have a few Kiko stores there. I wanted to find the duo blushes from last season's 'Daring Game' collection. I did find them AND they were on sale. They still had two color pairs available.

I saw these blushes on lots of blogs a few months ago and I just loved the packaging. It's a pearl white compact with hot pink metallic print on it. Gorgeous! It's quite a big compact so it will take some place in your make-up bag. But waw, they are just so beautiful!

Kiko Haul: Summer Sale

Monday, August 4, 2014

Haaa, nothing better than an evening of blogging! I went to the french city of Lille a few weeks ago on a day off and I walked into Kiko, to see what they had on sale. I was very suprised and happy with what I saw and I got some beau-ti-ful things. I had a bit of time to test out a few of the products and I love them!

Battle Of The Mint/Blue-Green Polishes

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

Hey sweeties! Today I'm back with a 'battle of the mint/bleu-green polishes'. I did one like this about a year ago, with a comparison on my taupe nailpolishes and I really liked writing that post. This time, I'll compare my mint polishes. I went trough my collection and I must admit, I never realized I had so many mint greens colors. I'll tell you about the formulations, colors and which ones are my favorites.

January Favorites 2014: Beauty and more!

Saturday, February 1, 2014

Hello everybody! Today I'm talking about my january favorites. It's the first month of 2014 and it has gone by so quickly... It was not a very exciting month, I had exams at school, like most of you guys had as well. So my makeup had to be quick and easy this month! I have a few favorites to show you, and a lot of them are new ones. So let's get started!

Favorite shower products?
I've been loving my Cranberry Joy Body Polish from the body shop. Their body polishes are amazing! They exfoliate the skin in a gentle way, but makes it very soft! Put your favorite body lotion on top on you'll have soft, irresistible skin.
I've also been loving the Yves Rocher Cocoa-Orange shower gel, which smells like Jaffa/Pim's Cakes. When I smelled this, I immediately went back to the store to buy another bottle.
Nivea Straight&Gloss shampoo is an all-time favorite of mine. Even when I don't include it in a favorites post, you can just be sure that is was a favorite because it's the only shampoo I use. I always go back to this one when I try out something else. It makes my hair soft and not frizzy.

Beauty Haul: Kiko, Sephora and more!

Thursday, January 2, 2014

Haaaa, the first blogpost of 2014! I hope you all had a festive New Year's Eve! A week ago, I went to the French city Lille and I did some shopping there! I went to Sephora, Kiko and I also bought some stuff in the beauty section of a supermarket.

Firstly, I went to Kiko and I bought one of the Kiss Balms. This are described as 'A nourishing treatment with a full-bodied texture that unites lip care and vibrant colour with the pleasure of delicate fruit aromas'. I got the color 'Blackberry' and I love it. It feels very soft and moisturizing on the lips and it is quite pigmented for a lip balm.

Battle Of The Taupe Nail Polishes: Swatches and Comparison (I'm obsessed!)

Monday, April 29, 2013

Raise your hand if you have that one favorite color you just can't seem to get enough off. With me, that's taupe. I love taupe nail polishes, I think they can make your fingers look so pretty and classy and lady like. Now, I realise I maybe have too much taupe nail polishes. I have 8.

Yes, I know what you're thinking! 'WHAT? 8 taupe polishes? Why would you need that?'
Well, the only answer I could think of is: they're different?

I decided to do a compairison on all these nail polishes, to show you guys how they all look and which ones are my favorite. All the swatches are taken in natural light and are 2 coats.

As you can see, these are all pretty different once you put them on. Essie's Chinchilly is the most grey of the bunch, O.P.I.'s You Don't Know Jacques is the most brown. Hema is the only polish with a metallic finish, it's pretty cool! Essie's Lady like is the most pinky/purple. Eyeko's Posh Polish is pretty dark, a bit darker than it appears to be in the bottle. H&M's Taupe is a gorgeous color, but the quality is terrible. I wore this once and it was chipped after 15 minutes. 15! Kiko's 319 is also pretty dark with a tiny, tiny hint of purple in it. Yves Rocher's Taupe Rosé also has a little rosy brown tint to it.

It's funny to see how many different colors there are available and they're all so different. I think there is a right color for everyone out there, you just have to find it ;)

My favorites? Hema's 004, Essie Lady like, and Yves Rocher's Taupe Rosé

What's your favorite one?
xx,
Astrid
