January Favorites 2014: Beauty and more!

Saturday, February 1, 2014

Hello everybody! Today I'm talking about my january favorites. It's the first month of 2014 and it has gone by so quickly... It was not a very exciting month, I had exams at school, like most of you guys had as well. So my makeup had to be quick and easy this month! I have a few favorites to show you, and a lot of them are new ones. So let's get started!

Favorite shower products?
I've been loving my Cranberry Joy Body Polish from the body shop. Their body polishes are amazing! They exfoliate the skin in a gentle way, but makes it very soft! Put your favorite body lotion on top on you'll have soft, irresistible skin.
I've also been loving the Yves Rocher Cocoa-Orange shower gel, which smells like Jaffa/Pim's Cakes. When I smelled this, I immediately went back to the store to buy another bottle.
Nivea Straight&Gloss shampoo is an all-time favorite of mine. Even when I don't include it in a favorites post, you can just be sure that is was a favorite because it's the only shampoo I use. I always go back to this one when I try out something else. It makes my hair soft and not frizzy.

Favorite eye products?
I've been using my cream eyeshadows a lot this month! Maybelline's color tattoo eyeshadow in 'On and on bronze' is one of the most beautiful cream eyeshadow I have. I love the color so much! I've also used Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in R.S.V.P. a whole lot this month. I like to pair this with the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow in 'Hourglass Beige'. It's a very nice combination.
Speaking about the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows... They are amazing! The consistency, the colors, the pigmentation. Wauw. Love them so much! My biggest favorite of the month is the Infallible eyeshadow in 'Sahara Treasure'. I'll do a review on that color very soon!
My favorite mascara of the month was the Revlon Grow Luscious mascara. This seperates the lashes and makes them very long.

Favorite lip products?
This month, I had really chapped lips so I used a lot of moisturizing products. At our local pharmacy, they gave away an Eucerin chapstick to each costumer, as a present to start the new year. It's a bit of a heavier lip balm, for those days when your lips are chapped like crazy! I like it.
The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm in 'Raspberry' is a nice lip balm to give your lips some moisture and a nice sheen. I've kept this in my purse all month.
When I wanted to have a bit of a color on my lips, but keep them soft at the same time, I used the Kiko Kiss Balm in 'Blackberry': a nice mauve color.

Favorite nail polish?
I've been wearing Essie's 'Lacquered up' a lot this month! It's the perfect red polish.

Favorite blush?
I've been using my beloved Nr. 7 blush in 'Soft Damson' a lot this month. I like applying my blush with this small kabuki brush from Sephora.
Favorite TV-show?
I went babysitting a few weeks ago and since there was nothing better on television, I decided to watch some MTV. There was an episode on Geordie Shore on and I thought it was hilarious! So I watched all the episodes this month and OMG! It's so funny! Their quotes are so priceless and funny! My favorite persons are Charlotte (ofcourse, who doesn't love her?), Vicky, Sophie and Gaz. And even though he acts like a complete prick sometimes, I really wanted Charlotte and Gaz to end up together. They would be so cute as a couple!

What are some of your favorites this month? Let me know!

  1. Great selection and I agree with you on the YR shower gel, even though I prefer the Raspberry one :) xx
