I picked up two colors:
- Naked: A nice pink nude. This is a perfect nude to me because it's one or two shades lighter than my lips. So it's not too pale and therefore it does not make me look sick.
- Rapture: This is a berry rose color. It looks quite dark and vampy on me when I layer too much on, so I think it's best for me to use this color lightly and with caution. It's a perfect fall color though.
The formulation on these lipsticks is very good. They are moisturizing and very pigmented. They glide on really smooth. I especially like 'Naked', because I think it's hard to find a good nude lipstick. They are often too pale for me but this has the perfect combination of nude and pink.
However, I'm not *blown away* by these lipsticks. Yes, they are good and the formulation is amazing. But I think there are lipsticks out there that are similar or even better. They are just not that special to me. If you want to splurge on a good lipstick that has great color payoff (they have a huge color selection to choose from), I'd recommend these. But I don't think you're missing out on them if you don't to buy them. I don't know, I have mixed feelings about them. Maybe I still need time to completely fall in love with them?
Have you tried these out? What do you think?
xx,
Astrid
Oh, it's actually nice to hear a not so good review on these. I had Naked on my WL for ages and I only heard amazing things about them, but now I'll definitely wait until I got to London so I can actually swatch them and not just blindly order them online.
ReplyDeleteI'd recommend swatching them indeed! These are definitely not bad lipsticks. They are good quality and nice pigmentation... I just expected a bit more, after all the hype.
