Astrid's Kitchen: Healty Easy Tuna Salad

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

Hi, sweet readers! Today, I'm showing you guys the recipe to one of my favorite salads: a healthy tuna salad. This salad has lots and lots of veggies and it tastes amazing! I usually eat this as lunch, with some bread. But you can eat this whenever and with whatever you want.

You will need (for 3 - 4 people)
- Two cans of tuna (use the one without oil!)
- 1 Cucumber
- 1 Red bell pepper/paprika
- 4 small radishes
- Spring onions
- Green pitted olives
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper

You must use this recipe as a guideline. Choose whatever veggies you like and put those in here. If you don't like bell pepper, maybe you can use cherry tomatoes or carrots? Don't like tuna? Smoked salmon or even chicken will do. You decide what you put in here! ^^
You can also use less or more veggies than I, it's your own choice.

This salad is very easy, here's what you need to do:
1. Cut the cucumber, paprika, olives, radishes and spring onions in small, bite-size pieces.
2. Put them in a bowl, season with salt and pepper.
3. Let the water leak out of the cans of tuna. Put these in the salad as well and break up the big pieces.
4. Mix everything together. Put a little bit of olive oil (not too much!) on it and mix again.
5. Taste and season again with salt and pepper if necessary.
6. Serve with bread, rice or couscous.
7. Enjoy!

I hope you liked this post and that you will maybe try out this recipe soon! ^^
xx,
Astrid
